Innovating for climate vulnerable communities
We empower climate-vulnerable communities with innovative solutions through our Learn & Earn Program, which provides comprehensive hydroponic farming training and delivers systems to farmers at no upfront cost. Utilizing a Revenue Sharing Model, farmers grow and sell produce while sharing profits with Smartel, enabling increased farmer incomes and sustainable reinvestment. This approach fosters climate resilience and economic empowerment in regions heavily impacted by climate change.
“I manage a mid-size veggie farm near Bugesera. Since Smartel installed twelve solar hydroponic racks, climate shocks aren’t killing my margins. I'm pulling 40% more lettuce on a fraction of the water, and the dashboard tweaks feed mixes before problems hit.
